The Spark Archive

I spent six years writing, editing and sometimes managing The Spark, the blog of the Yahoo! Directory (back when that was still a thing). It was a daily feature highlighting odd and intriguing content, from forgotten historical anecdotes to under-the-radar subcultures to obscure holidays to sometimes very, very niche content from the strangest corners of the internet. The Directory may be gone, but I’ve saved my own posts for a glimpse at the childhood (adolescence?) of the internet.
